In the past few months, South Africans have been trying to get to terms with the passing of one best Hip Hop artists, not only in South Africa but as whole. Kiernan Forbes famously known for his stage name as AKA was killed in what is alleged as an “assassination”; and while the Forbes has been trying to come to terms with the loss and heal from it, it seems that South Africans are not making it easy for them.

According to various media reports, the Forbes family are allegedly unhappy and in heartbreak; following the discovery of an influx of Tik Tok videos where millions of South Africans are shooting content on the late rappers tombstone. With each and every passing Day, a new video emerges whereby the rapper is blessed with a visit from South Africans across the country; doing all sorts of things on site.

This new trend has left millions of South Africans divided and with varying takes on the matter. While some see no wrong doing in what is happening as the rapper was an icon, and his tombstone is a tourist(giving fans an opportunity to pay their respects on their own time), others feel that the rapper should be left to rest in peace- and that the family should have opted for a private burial away from the public eye; to avoid the current commotion that is taking place.

“I really don’t know how to feel about this hey, this is the fourth tiktok I’ve seen this week. Forbes fam should have gone for a private cemetery” said one saddened South African.

“Aka was for everyone, do not be jealous” while the other hit back.

What Is your take on the matter, is decent for South Africans to keep invading the cemetery grounds for “content” or should we let the deceased to rest in peace; giving the family a space to heal?
