Man Got Fuel & Set Himself On Fire At A Bush In Limpopo, Then This Tragically Happened To Him Later

South Africa has seen a disturbing trend in recent years of individuals resorting to extreme measures to end their lives. One such incident occurred in Ga-Seaphole, where an unknown man set himself on fire last week.

Reports indicate that the man purchased petrol from a nearby filling station and then poured it over himself in the bushes of Ga-Seaphole (Mopani District Municipality, Limpopo) before igniting it.

The incident shocked the local community, who heard the man’s cries for help as he burned. Residents rushed to the scene to try to put out the fire and called for emergency services to assist.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. Cases of suicide, where individuals set themselves on fire, have been reported across South Africa in the past.

Despite the efforts of the community and emergency services, the victim suffered severe burns and was rushed to the nearest hospital. Tragically, it was reported that the victim had died from his injuries.

The deceased was later identified as Tshepo Morwatshehla, aged 26, who was residing in Mahekgwe village. This news has been confirmed by a family member.

It is not yet clear what led Mr Morwatshehla to take such drastic measures, but it highlights the importance of mental health awareness and access to support services in South Africa.

The reasons behind this disturbing trend are complex, but it is clear that more needs to be done to address the underlying issues that are driving people to take such extreme measures.

Communities must come together to support those who are struggling and create a safe environment where individuals feel comfortable seeking help.

By breaking the stigma around mental health and addressing the root causes of suicide, we can work towards a brighter future where incidents like the one in Ga-Seaphole are a thing of the past.
