Check the bank balance of NPC belonging to Terry Pheto and associates before R16M was deposited

Shame! Terry Pheto can’t seem to catch a break. Her latest movie was a flop and the reviews were brutal. Now ordinary citizens are calling for her arrest. “Pheto should be in prison! We are tired! We pay over R80k in taxes every month as an Expat. This amounts R960 000 a year tax. I don’t even have access to any services my taxes help pay for. All for these thieves to steal from South Africans who need this money”, a furious Twitter user said.

The Bryanston house of actress Terry Pheto, which was allegedly built with funds siphoned from the National Lotteries Commission (NLC), will be auctioned on Thursday. But according to many, auctioning the mansion is not enough, she should be arrested. The Tsotsi movie star was linked to a property fraud matter in November where the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) obtained a high-court preservation order to freeze nine luxury properties in Gauteng, a BMW 420i and two Ocean Basket franchises on the East Rand. Their combined value is about R25m linked to Pheto and others.

Pheto’s home money came from a R20.2-million grant given by the NLC to a dodgy non-profit organisation, Zibsimode. According to SIU, the account only had R500 before over R16 million was paid over to the NPO. Zibsimode, a shelf company, was purchased on 9 May 2017. The company was then awarded two grants in rapid succession: R16.2-million on 30 May 2017, just 21 days after new directors were appointed, and a further R4-million on 6 July 2017.

Irrespective of how we got here, but it must be heartbreaking for Terry Pheto to see and subsequently come to terms with the auction. A home remains a life time achievement to any person. What about Cyril Ramaphosa’s corruptions involvements, when are you also exposing him and taking all things he bought with the corruption money. , and also there politicians. The same energy the SIU has put to expose Terry Pheto must be used again to expose Cyril Ramaphosa too.

What stands out for me about the whole matter is Terry Pheto’s post in 2021. The actress posted a GIF of herself soaked in a bubble bath with a glass of champagne in her hand. “If you don’t see me on Twitter anymore, you must know that I won PowerBar Jackpot “, Terry Pheto wrote on the caption. Girl had guts hey! She knew she was financing that luxurious life with stolen money and she was throwing it on our faces! The audacity!
