Breaking| All SASSA grant beneficiaries should take note of this new development by Cyril Ramaphosa

Honestly, the ANC government has helped many people with the distress relief grant which has been circulating for over 3 years. That is actually one of the biggest achievement of the party right now. It is not easy to disburse such a huge amount of money to the less privileged.

Assuming it was those that are corrupt, he could have used the money for his own personal interest but notwithstanding, he released it to the poor. That attitude alone is worth been commended.

At the SONA2023 yesterday, Cyril Ramaphosa once again brightened the hope of all SASSA grant beneficiaries. He said that “we will continue the Social Relief of Distress Grant, which currently reaches around 7.8 million people”. He also hinted that the grant might soon be increased because the standard of living in the country is getting too high.

He continued by saying that “In support of this work and to counter the rising cost of living, we will continue the Social Relief of Distress Grant, which currently reaches around 7.8 million people. We will ensure that existing social grants are increased to cushion the poor against rising inflation. This will be set out in the budget by the Minister of Finance”
