The security personnels at the airport and the border of this country are actually carrying out their duties. They have been thoroughly searching foreigners who are migrating into the country to know the content of their luggage. At times, some people are caught with illegal firearms, illicit drugs and other things that are prohibited by the law to be imported into the country. If not because of their efforts, the rampant drug abuse and use of firearms in the country right now that we are complaining bitterly about would have been a small thing.

From reports, Officials from OR Tambo International airport intercepted 47 giant snails hidden in inside a wooden box. The large land snails were discovered to have been illegally brought into South Africa from Nigeria without the relevant permits and documentation.

Although importing snail is not a big crime against the law of the country but why should they do it illegally? They could have passed through the normal processes and import it into the country freely. Many people have been into the business of snail rearing and they are not confronted by security agents because they are doing it legally. This is a lesson to other foreigners who are planning to trade in the country.
