There is no longer a child-free zone in South Africa, and the experiences that children are being forced to go through are extremely frightful and terrible. If they are not subjected to sexual abuse, then they are victims of human trafficking and are ultimately killed.
The fact that the perpetrators are people who are a part of our day-to-day lives makes the situation much more upsetting. Children are left without the ability to determine who they can or cannot trust, and as a result, they are forced to live in constant terror, always asking themselves, “What if I am the next target for rape and child abuse?”
Since yesterday, there has been a trending video of a mother who forced her own son to have sex with her. Kindly note that the mother is a police officer. She told him to have sex with her while she’s taking a video.
The boy is said to be 12 years old, and you could tell that he’s not doing it because he wants to but because he’s scared of what might happen if he refuses. He even tried to convince the mother that he doesn’t know those things, but still the mother forced him to do it.
Out of misery, she went on and did what the pastor said. After sending the video, the pastor started blackmailing her, telling her to give him money or else he’d publish the video. She didn’t have money, so the Nigerian pastor went on to publish the video. This is similar to what happened to the ANC comrades a few weeks ago. South African women believe their pastor more than God; they are always victims of foreign pastors.
