Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema while addressing his supporters over the weekend, he said the red berets do not hate ANC, but it is the other way round.
Malema accuses ANC comrades in positions of power of stealing money that is meant to improve the lives of local people. He said the fact that even those who continue to vote for ANC are struggling, show how the ruling party hates them.
“We don’t hate the ANC, they hate us, they look down on us, they don’t care about a black child,” said Julius Malema.
The EFF leader was speaking in Ditsobotla at a by-elections rally held on Sunday. He said the people in that community must refuse to take ANC t-shirts and demand a good future for their children.
“Tell them that we don’t want t-shirts and food parcels, we want the future for our children. We’ve gotten to a point where we must say enough is enough
When they steal money, there will not be a clinic that will be open 24 hours, because nurses, doctors and security guards who work there need to be paid for working 24 hours shift,” he said.
The red berets promised that if they win the by-elections, they will meaningfully change the lives of people in the area. Malema said councillors of the EFF will be hard at work to restore back the dignity of people.
“As the EFF, we want to commit today that when we get into municipality, the mines will pay the money they need to pay for building schools.
We want our kids to attend school for free. We don’t want our kids to be charged money for registration when they get to university because where are they expected to get the money if they have been attending school for free from primary,” said Julius Malema.
