While that happens behind closed doors, what really matters to the people of South Africa is who our new leader will be if he is removed. As that leader will be in a position to either fix the Country, or continue to destroy it. Here are three people who could be next in line to take his place.
We cannot talk about future leaders of South Africa, without talking about Julius Malema. He has centered himself as a controversial figure, dedicated to fighting for Black South Africans. Whether he is doing it the right way or not is up for debate, However he does have a large number of followers.
While not everyone agrees with his methods, he has made some progress in the past few years and I believe he has a real chance at gaining enough followers to become the president.
John Steenhuizen is the leader of the DA and very vocal when it comes to the issues facing South Africans. He is intelligent and quick witted and from what I have observed, seems to have some real ideas on how we can fix the Country.
However I believe their is one big road block in his pathway, that being that after the crimes of the Apartheid Government, South Africans may not be trusting of a White President.
Last but certainly not least we have Herman Mashaba. The leader of Action SA who has been inspiring a lot of confidence in himself recently. There are no doubts in my mind that a lot of South Africans trust him, however I don’t know whether that will he enough to win him an opportunity at being our next president.
It is clear though, that if he does become our next president we may see some great things.
It’s unclear whether our current president will be impeached or not, however if he does it will create a power vacuum that will have a lot of different leaders trying to take his place. I only hope that the person who succeeds has good intentions for our country
