A group of young musicians from the township of Hammarsdale, West of Durban is fast become a sensation. The five member acapella group named THE JOY is setting all the right notes.
Distinct and powerfull voices, no instruments, no fency studio, these young musicians journey started just 2 years ago. Born and raised in a township plead by social ills. The group hope to use music tell the story about there trouble background.
“It is not easy to avoid bad things like crime, drugs and alcohol because you have a friends who will tell you this is a good thing, but if you know what you want in future you will do what is good for your family. Alot of people have come but the thing is they only talk with no actions.” – Melokuhle Mkhungo
