After five days the Metrobus strike in Johannesburg has ended.
On Friday the company said that following a labour court ruling, services will be fully operational on Monday.
About 40,000 people were said to have been affected by the strike led by the Democratic Municipal & Allied Workers Union of South Africa (Demawusa).
In a statement, spokesman Goodwill Shivuri said, “Metrobus regrets the inconvenience suffered by passengers during the period of the strike.”
“Metrobus can confirm that indeed the court judgement handed down …. prevents Demawusa from continuing with the industrial action,” he added.
