Gauteng Police have confirmed a second arrest in connection with the killing of Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, who was murdered in December last year.

The arrest took place on the evening of January 30, 2026, in the Marathon informal settlement in Primrose. Police units including the Public Intervention Unit, Crime Intelligence, and Ekurhuleni Metro Police carried out the operation.

A 25-year-old Mozambican national was taken into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, February 2, 2026, facing charges of murder and violation of the Immigration Act.

Authorities have not yet released full details on the suspect’s alleged role. Police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili stated she is waiting for a full report before providing further information.

This arrest follows the recent court appearance of another suspect, Victor Majola, who was denied bail a few days ago. The magistrate cited concerns that Majola might evade trial, noting he had provided conflicting addresses and an untested alibi for the day of the murder.

According to the state, Majola was identified in a lineup, and a witness reported seeing him near the crime scene with two other men shortly before the shooting. Details from Warras’s vehicle, including addresses, along with pictures of the DJ, were allegedly found on Majola’s phone.

Police say their investigation into the case is ongoing.
