President Cyril Ramaphosa was accompanied by his daughter, Ms Keneilwe Ramaphosa, during a formal visit to the Sovereign Order of Malta at the Magistral Villa in Rome. The President was hosted by His Most Eminent Highness, Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap, who serves as the First Prince and 81st Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
The meeting formed part of President Ramaphosa’s official engagements in Europe aimed at strengthening diplomatic and humanitarian ties between South Africa and the Sovereign Order of Malta. The Order, known globally for its charitable and medical missions, has a long-standing relationship with several African nations through its humanitarian outreach and health initiatives.
However, it was not only the diplomatic setting that caught the attention of South Africans — social media users couldn’t help but react to the President’s daughter accompanying him to the high-level engagement. Many online users commented on Ms Keneilwe Ramaphosa’s elegance, describing her as “beautiful” and “graceful,” with several posts trending under her name on X (formerly Twitter).
While official details about her role in the visit were not disclosed, observers say the presence of Ms Ramaphosa added a personal touch to the President’s European tour, reflecting a blend of family and diplomacy.
The visit concluded with both delegations reaffirming a commitment to collaboration on global health and humanitarian projects.
