KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says his work continues despite delays in the start of the Madlanga commission.
The inquiry was scheduled to begin on 1 September to investigate corruption and political interference in law enforcement institutions.
However, the commission confirmed the delay was caused by the Justice Department’s failure to secure the necessary infrastructure on time.
Chairperson Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga stressed that the setback was not the commission’s fault and assured that its preparations and work are continuing.
