The ANC in Limpopo has suspended its member, Thapelo Molepo, for three years after a disciplinary hearing found him guilty of bringing the party into disrepute.
The ANC’s Mphogodiba Branch Disciplinary Committee found that Molepo breached party policies through his social media activity, where he allegedly insulted ANC leaders, members, and public officials.
Committee chair Marothi Letsoalo confirmed the suspension, stating that Molepo had failed to attend several disciplinary hearings despite being summoned. A hearing was eventually held without him present on August 15, 2025.
Letsoalo said Molepo was found guilty of engaging in conduct that damages the ANC’s character and integrity, making statements that bring the party into disrepute, and provoking division.
The suspension is effective from August 17, 2025. During this three-year period, Molepo is barred from participating in any ANC activities or representing the party in any capacity.
