During a fiery address to supporters, Shivambu made his stance clear, stating, “If standing by our principles means losing party members, so be it.” He doubled down with a direct jab at Zuma: “I won’t beg Zuma or his scam of a party to keep my membership.” The remarks come amid speculation that some EFF members might be leaning toward the MK Party, a rumor Shivambu firmly rejected.
Political observers see his comments as a reinforcement of the EFF’s hardline stance against the ANC and its splinter groups.
