Police in Gqeberha have launched a manhunt for at least three suspects who kidnapped a 45-year-old teacher from a school in Algoa Park on Monday morning.
According to authorities, the victim had just arrived at the school in a Toyota Fortuner when the assailants forced her into a white Toyota Corolla and sped off. Captain Andre Beetge confirmed that the abduction was captured on video, showing multiple men dragging the woman into the waiting vehicle.
No ransom demand has been made yet, leaving the motive for the kidnapping unclear. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
The incident has sparked concern over safety in school environments, with authorities increasing patrols in the area.
