Zuma Family Warns Nonkanyiso Conco Over Public Revelations About Past Relationship

The family of former South African President Jacob Zuma has issued a stern warning to Nonkanyiso Conco, the mother of his child, urging her to stop disclosing intimate details about their past relationship in public. This comes after several video clips circulated online, in which Conco, a former cast member of *The Real Housewives of Durban*, shared personal anecdotes about her time with Zuma, who now leads the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP).

Conco and Zuma share a six-year-old son. In one of the videos, she recounted her first meeting with the former president, stating that he was still in office at the time. “JZ (Zuma) is a gentleman. The first time I visited him, we slept late, and the next morning, he was up very early. He had already bathed when I woke up. He expressed his excitement that I had visited him,” Conco recalled.

Her revelations have sparked widespread public debate and media scrutiny, with many questioning the implications for Zuma’s personal and political reputation.

In an exclusive interview with Daily News, Zuma’s brother, Khanya, expressed deep concern about Conco’s decision to discuss private matters publicly. “First and foremost, it is not right for any person to reveal bedroom secrets to the entire world. It is not right. She must stop what she is doing. I am talking as his (Zuma’s) brother. I don’t like what she (Conco) is doing,” Khanya stated.

He emphasized that such disclosures “undermine family values” and violate the “trust and respect” that should be upheld between former partners. “Personal issues arise in every relationship, but they should be handled privately, especially when a child is involved,” he added. “This is not just about the past; it is about protecting the dignity of all parties involved, especially their child.”

Zuma, known for guarding his private life, has not directly responded to the situation. However, Khanya insisted that the matter should be addressed respectfully and privately. “My brother always tries by all means to keep his affairs away from the public. I am not saying she should not talk about her love affair, but there must be a respectful way to do this. You can’t tell the whole world about your bedroom encounters unprovoked,” he said.

Khanya also mentioned that he had not yet spoken to Zuma about the issue but intended to do so when an opportunity arose.

In one of the video clips, Conco claimed that Zuma had paid lobola (bride price) for her, further fueling speculation about the nature of their past relationship. As of now, she has not publicly responded to the Zuma family’s warning. However, her statements have led to widespread speculation regarding her motivations for sharing such personal details.

Repeated attempts to reach Conco for comment were unsuccessful, as her phone remained on voicemail. Meanwhile, the *Daily News* also contacted MKP spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhela, but no response was received by the time of publication.

The unfolding saga has captured the public’s attention, leaving many eager to see whether the matter will be resolved privately or if more revelations will emerge in the coming weeks. For now, the Zuma family’s warning underscores the delicate balance between public curiosity and the right to privacy, particularly when a child’s well-being is at stake.
