31-Year-Old Woman Fatally Stabbed in Port Shepstone, Boyfriend Suspected

A 31-year-old woman was tragically stabbed to death, allegedly by her boyfriend, in Port Shepstone early this morning.

Reports indicate the couple, accompanied by a friend, were returning home from a tavern when an argument broke out. Near the victim’s house, she sought help from a neighbor, expressing fears that her boyfriend intended to kill her.

The neighbor intervened, managing to calm the situation temporarily. The boyfriend then requested water, but while the neighbor was fetching it, he allegedly stabbed the woman six times in the neck and throat. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest the argument stemmed from the boyfriend’s jealousy over the victim allegedly being in the company of two men earlier.

The 36-year-old suspect is currently on the run, and police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in his apprehension.
