Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has issued a direct ultimatum to President Cyril Ramaphosa, calling for the immediate signing of the contentious Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Act into law. “We will not sit back while the president plays games with the future of our children and the dignity of African languages,” Malema declared to roaring applause. “If he doesn’t sign the BELA Act, we’ll meet him in the streets.”
