Taking to Instagram, Zandie stated that her testimony during the ongoing trial was truthful and delivered to the best of her ability. She expressed frustration with ongoing suspicions and reiterated her innocence.
“I’m not gonna apologize to South Africans for sh*t. I never lied under oath; I gave my testimony to the best of my ability and recollection. I, Zandile Lorraine Khumalo, was never part of any planning or masterminding of Senzo’s murder—if there ever was something like that,” she wrote.
Calls for Comprehensive Investigation
Zandie has been vocal about the need for a thorough investigation into Meyiwa’s death, urging law enforcement to leave no stone unturned. While maintaining her suspicions about certain individuals, she stated she is willing to apologize if her doubts are proven unfounded.
“My suspicions are not personal and do not come from a place of malice. I just want to make sure police leave no stone unturned,” she explained.

Zandie also defended her sister, Kelly Khumalo, against accusations of involvement in Meyiwa’s death. She expressed unwavering confidence in Kelly’s innocence.
“I’m 200% sure that Kelly Khumalo had nothing to do with this. Knowing her character, I firmly believe she is incapable of such an act,” Zandie said.

Emphasizing the importance of justice, Zandie stated that anyone proven to have masterminded the murder must face the full force of the law, even if they are a member of her own family.
“Anyone involved in masterminding Senzo’s death—if ever there was any masterminding—I want them behind bars,” she declared.
