A 31-year-old mother (biological mother) and her 26-year-old boyfriend (step father) were arrested for the alleged murder of a 4-year-old baby boy, after the he broke a plasma TV while playing in the house.
The couple allegedly murdered the toddler last year and buried him in a shallow grave in the bushes in the outskirts of Boitekong outside Rustenberg in North West.
Subsequent to the incident, residents of Extension 4, became suspicious when they did not see the child anymore. According to information, the child was last seen by neighbours in July 2023. They started asking questions, but the mother would make up stories.
The community decided to involve their Councillor, and they approached the mother who allegedly confessed and pointed the shallow grave where the child is buried.
They have been arrested.
