UDM leader Bantu Holomisa has confirmed that his party has accepted the invitation from the ANC to join the Government of National Unity. This move brings the ANC closer to securing a majority in the National Assembly without needing support from the Democratic Alliance (DA).
The UDM, which holds three seats in parliament, is the latest party to join the GNU, following a trend of smaller parties aligning with the ANC.
This development has been met with mixed reactions, with some questioning the UDM’s previous stance and affiliations.
