EFF leader Julius Malema appeared in the East London Magistrate’s Court to testify in a case involving the alleged unlawful discharge of a firearm in 2018. Malema, along with his co-accused, EFF member Adriaan Snyman, faced cross-examination by the state prosecutor.
During the proceedings, Malema accused the prosecution of using the case for political purposes and criticized the prosecution’s competence.
Supporters and observers noted Malema’s strong performance in court, with some suggesting that the prosecution was struggling to challenge him effectively.
