During a prayer session, renowned traditional healer Dr. Khehlelezi, born Bhongolethu Mzozo, received a divine message prophesying about Ukhozi FM. He revealed visions of two more deaths among the station’s presenters within the year: one occurring in a hospital and the other in a car accident. This prophecy follows the recent passing of Bheka “Beekay” Mchunu in March.

Dr. Khehlelezi emphasized the urgent need for a cleansing ritual involving white candles and incense to eradicate lingering spirits at the station. He warned that without such intervention, presenters could face severe illnesses, particularly affecting their feet. “As we speak, there’s an Ukhozi FM presenter who is gravely ill, and her illness worsened upon entering the studios,” he stated.

Responses to the Prophecy

Zanele Mbokazi’s publicist, Nqobile Mdluli, responded that they would not comment on Dr. Khehlelezi’s claims, expressing faith in an omniscient and omnipresent God. Similarly, Mmoni Seapolela, SABC’s Acting Group Executive for Corporate Affairs and Marketing, stated that the SABC has no comment on Dr. Khehlelezi’s views.

Spirits and Cleansing

Dr. Khehlelezi insists that the roaming spirits at Ukhozi FM need to be addressed through a cleansing ceremony, which could be performed by certain churches, izangoma, and traditional healers.
