In a shocking turn of affairs, Panyaza Lesufi, the Gauteng MEC for Education, has come ahead to publish a strong warning to Police Minister Bheki Cele.

He blames him for disregarding the vital role played by the Gauteng crime wardens and warns that his days in office may be numbered.

Now, it appears that his crises continue to ascend as he makes a strong statement against the man of law. He contends that Cele is failing to acknowledge the actions and contributions made by the Gauteng crime wardens, a mob that has attained widespread backing from the populace.

The fuss against the South African Police Service (SAPS) has intensified on social media, with multiple people doubting their proficiency in handling criminal issues. Some even proceed as far as asserting that the SAPS struggle to open dockets and write statements, underscoring a perceived scarcity of competence within the institution.

The powerful warning makes it evident that pressures are growing between the two organisations. The minister now faces mounting pressure to handle the problems raised by Lesufi and the public and to ensure that the SAPS performs with clarity, efficiency, and accountability.
