An Egyptian tabloid reported that an award-winning soccer manager has been terminated from Al Wahda, with the reason unknown. Rumors have circulated that he may be scouted by Kaizer Chief.
Pitso Mosimane, Al Wahda’s head coach, has been fired by Abu Dhabi’s football team, causing speculation that Amakhosi may be considering him as a potential candidate for PSL head coaching.
Egypt tabloid Cairo24 reported that the former Bafana Bafana coach, along with his technical team, has been fired. The reasons for the dismissal were not disclosed, and his agency, MT Sports Marketing and Management, did not respond to the report.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Mosimane, was hired by Abu Dhabi due to his impressive winning streak. However, his luck seemed to have run out when he started coaching in June. Mosimane started the season poorly, losing 2-1 to Bani Yas and 3-1 to Shabab Al Ahli.
“The coach is unable to instruct players on goal scoring, as they have failed to capitalize on easy opportunities in the last two matches.”
“The coach, who arrived in UAE to coach Al Wahda, expresses sadness and disappointment over the loss and struggles to communicate with the players who may be controlling the match’s outcome.”
On Friday, his luck improved as he secured a win against Al Ittihad Kalba.
PSL wordsmith Steve Khomphela shared wisdom with super goalie Sipho Chaine after their MTN 8 victory. Khomphela swapped his football hat with his father-figure hat to teach Chaine humility, as reported by netizens, while celebrating his man of the match award.
