President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa, seemingly responding to former president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Thabo Mbeki, says the renewal of the African National Congress should be seen as a continuous process, not a one-day event.

This is after the former president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Thabo Mbeki made his latest criticism of the party’s leadership while delivering the eulogy at the African National Congress’s memorial service in tribute to the late former deputy foreign affairs minister Aziz Pahad at the University of Johannesburg, Gauteng province.

The former president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Thabo Mbeki said since the adoption of the renewal resolution in 2017 and 2022 nothing tangible has been done to implement it.

Even though the president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa didn’t mention the name of the former president, he made it clear that he disagree with his statement.
