The South African socialite, Zodwa Wabantu, is reeling from the unexpected loss of her revered traditional healer, a figure she credits with endowing her with unparalleled strength through his extensive healing expertise. The news of the healer’s demise has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving Zodwa and many others grappling with the abrupt departure of a guiding force.

According to Isolezwe, the source that first reported this sorrowful news, the traditional healer breathed his last on a Sunday morning at his residence in KwaNgcolosi. The healer had been battling a fever before his sudden passing. For Zodwa, the bond she shared with the healer transcended the ordinary. She revealed that their journey together had taken them to her grandfather’s resting place in the Eastern Cape—a pilgrimage that had left her feeling invigorated in an entirely new way. “The loss of this exceptional traditional healer is profound. He wasn’t just a practitioner; he possessed an extraordinary ability to manifest change,” Zodwa expressed.

The departed healer had recently featured prominently on Zodwa Wabantu’s show, “Zodwa Wabantu Uncensored.” In an episode earlier this month, Zodwa spoke candidly about the healer’s pivotal role in her life, illuminating how his insights had brought clarity to her path. The healer’s influence extended beyond Zodwa, as Dladla Mshunqisi attested. He shared sentiments of shock and grief, remembering the healer as a fatherly figure who championed the well-being of the less fortunate.

A close associate, Mr. Simphiwe Mhlaba, brother to the late healer, conveyed the family’s deep sense of shock and sorrow. The deceased had also been a prominent leader within the American Jericho Church in Zion, further attesting to his significance within various spheres. Mr. Mhlaba revealed that while his brother had battled chest pain since youth, it was a condition that could have been treated. Despite the somber circumstances, he emphasized the resilience with which they approached life’s challenges, stating, “In this world, we don’t succumb to adversity without a fight.”

The passing of the esteemed traditional healer has undoubtedly cast a shadow, not just over Zodwa Wabantu’s life, but over the community he touched through his wisdom and healing prowess. As fond memories mingle with the heaviness of loss, the legacy of his transformative contributions will endure, inspiring hope and reflection within all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
