Orlando Pirates are preparing a mammoth offer for their talisman Thembinkosi Lorch to keep him at the club, despite his off the pitch challenges with the law.
“Shake My Soul” as he is affectionately known as joined Orlando Pirates in 2015 after an impressive run at Maluti FET College.
At Orlando Pirates, the 30 year old Bloemfontein born footballer is now one of the most lethal goal poarchers in front of target.

On Tuesday, one of the leading sport publications in South Africa reported that Orlando Pirates are preparing a three year contract which will run up until 2027 for Thembinkosi Lorch despite the fact that he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Nokuphiwa Mathithibala and two sources have confirmed these developments.
“It’s almost done. It’s as good as done. The team wants to keep him for another three years. They say there is nothing stopping them from giving him a new contract and the three-year contract is the best for both parties. As I’ve said it’s as good as done. I can say 90% done. They don’t want to waste time anymore at this stage and that’s why they want it done before December”, said the first source.
“The figures and conditions of the new deal are much better than the last contract. You know he is one of the longest serving players if you look at the current squad and the club is rewarding him for that. It’s good they are giving him a long deal. That’s motivating”, said the second source.
