Kaizer Chiefs fans are constantly looking at their favourite club’s social media platforms just to browse through their new signings. As they’re grateful to see Chiefs exploring different players that they feel will bring something special to Naturena. It feels like Amakhosi are truly revamping their squad to cater to their technical team’s needs. As they’re aware that their head coach Molefi Ntseki has a difficult task of changing the club’s situation around. After all, the Soweto giants has some catching up to do when it comes to winning silverware. Hence, they’re signing exceptional players such as Edson Castillo in hope that they’ll be able to contribute positively to the club.

When he was introduced to the public on social media last week, the fans excited about what he has to offer at Naturena. Castillo will be wearing the jersey number 17 after signing a two-year deal with an option to extend another year with Chiefs. The 29-year-old was a free agent after leaving Monagas and that’s when the Glamour Boys couldn’t help but pounce on him. As they knew that they need someone who has the talent of being the best midfield in the DStv Premiership. Even the club’s chairman Kaizer Motaung Senior has stated the main reason behind bringing the Venezuelan international to Mzansi. “We brought him here because of the talent that we saw and we hope that he can be happy here and also make history here in Africa,” said Motaung Senior speaking to the media.

The Glamour Boys chairman stated that they’ll let Castillo finds his feet without any pressure. As they want him to live his life to the fullest within the club and get to bond with his team mates. At the same time keep up with his tasks within the club in order to become a deadly midfielder too. “He must feel free, he must feel like he is with family. He must feel comfortable around anybody here. I wish him a very good journey with us,” said Motaung Senior speaking to the media.
