Veteran media personality Minnie Dlamini has been in the TV industry for a long time.
It is puzzling to note that she is yet to receive any acting award.
But all that could change as she has now been nominated for an actress award.
Dlamini received the nod for her role in the Honeymoon. The Honeymoon left many of her fans glued to their TV sets as she slayed the screen.
She is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Film at the 10th Simon ‘Mabhunu’ Sabela Film and Television Awards.
This is the 10th edition of the Simon ‘Mabhunu’ Sabela awards. The awards are a celebration of acting excellence.
But Minnie is up against some really tough competition and she will be hoping to beat the veteran’s.
In the same category, Minnie is nominated alongside Baby Cele, Thokozile Gumede, and Mandisa Vilakazi.
Dlamini confirmed her nomination to a local publication and divulged that she is honoured to be recognised by her home province.
She said it would be something special to win but being nominated is special enough.
“Such a full circle moment for me. I can’t wait for you to see my next role,” she said.
Dlamini first made her mark in the acting world when she appeared in the Mnet production The Wild.
