South Africans have responded to what President Cyril Ramaphosa uttered while being questioned in Ukraine about the upcoming 2024 General Elections. After winning the ANC elective conference in December 2022, President Cyril Ramaphosa hopes to rule South Africans for another four years.

While answering the media’s question in Ukraine, President Cyril Ramaphosa, the current president of the African National Congress (ANC), radiated an air of self-assurance when he declared that the party was capable of winning the elections in 2024. However, veteran political analyst Asanda Ngoasheng advised against concentrating entirely on the victory.

Ngoasheng was of the opinion that the ANC’s first aim ought to be making connections with the electorate and gaining a knowledge of the issues that are important to them. Instead of being obsessed with winning at any cost, the party needed to make meeting the needs and hopes of the people their top priority in order to be successful.

Ngoasheng emphasised that genuine involvement, empathy, and the provision of concrete answers would be the keys to securing the trust of voters, which would eventually ensure the triumph of the African National Congress in the future elections.

This utterances made by President Cyril Ramaphosa left many in shock on Social Media as the current state South Africa is puts the ANC government at a disadvantage in the upcoming election in 2024. South Africans have their own preferences and some have vowed to vote out the ANC government and give EFF the chance to rule South Africa. EFF Leader Julius Malema who has formerly announced his intention to contest for the position of President.

ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is certain that the party will win the 2024 elections. Political Analyst Asanda Ngoasheng says the ANC needs to focus on trying to get voters to choose them instead of focusing on winning the elections.
