South African people are keeping a close eye on whatever it is that has to do with the Thabo Bester escape saga which literally brought the entire country into a complete halt, some are suggesting that the whole thing is a movie which was scripted from the start to the end and there are people who have been arrested who are directly linked to the escape, a total of eight people are now facing the long hand of the law including Dr Nandipha Magudumana who is Bester’s girlfriend and her father who is now out on bail.

One of the five accused who were making bail application Nastassja Jansen has been granted bail on Monday, she was later released after she managed to pay the R100 00 ordered by the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court, however, she broke the silence after she was released.

Jansen who is a mother of two said she was actually shocked when she discovered that the person who burnt in Bester’s cell was not him, she said she doesn’t know anything since she never even saw an inmate running out on that night in question, she also added that her colleagues know her very well and she would never be part of letting a rapist walk out of prison knowing she has two daughters.

“It was a big shock. I was told by one of the investigator that they did a DNA test and it shows it wasn’t Thabo Bester [who allegedly died in the cells]. I don’t know anything, I didn’t even see an inmate running out. It’s really disappointing that I’ve been drawn into this thing, my family too, it’s painful. I believe I’ve been framed. The people I work with — they know my character. I’m very strict when it comes to my work. It hurts a lot,” said Jansen.

The matter between her and G4S is still on-going as she tries to fight her dismisal, she claims to be innocent in everything she accused off, however, the court will have to prove that she was part of the scheme.
