Kaizer Chiefs could be put off by the R10 million price tag on their target player as Amakhosi are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

After having a disappointing campaign Amakhosi are expected to beef up their squad for the upcoming season as the club will continue with their search to end their long-standing trophy drought that have stretched for eight years.

After finishing their dstv premiership season sitting on fifth position Amakhosi have already started with the preparations for the upcoming season and the club have already confirmed one exit so far after parting ways with the veteran defender Erick Mathoho.

Amakhosi have also been linked with a couple of players ahead of the upcoming season and the club will be looking to sign some of those players.

Young African FC striker Fiston Kalala Mayele is among of the players that have been heavily linked with the Soweto gianta as the club is looking to strengthen their striking force going to the new campaign.

The player has been previously at Amakhosi village for trials and the club really want to sign him but according to sources in the know, the stumbling block for Amakhosi could be the asking price from the player’s club, Young African.

A close source to the Tanzanian giants has revealed that Young Africans are demanding R10 million for the player in order to switch to Amakhosi.

The source added that the player is highly valued by Young Africans and that he can not come cheap and has insisted that Amakhosi really want to sign the player but the stumbling block is the asking price from his current club.

Another source confirmed that Young Africans are willing to let the 28 year-old go but they are not willing to let him go for free.
