Dr Nandipha Magudumana, a South African doctor, has been accused of aiding Thabo Bester, a convicted rapist and killer, in escaping from prison.

Recently, she has demanded that the court declare her Tanzania arrest and “abduction” wrong and unlawful.

According to reports, Dr Magudumana has asked to be released from detention immediately and for all orders and warrants against her to be considered null and void.

Many are curious about the story behind Dr Magudumana’s arrest and her involvement in the escape of a rapist and killer. From reports, it appears that Dr Magudumana and Thabo Bester were on the run when news broke out about their criminal activities, and they were found and arrested in Tanzania.

Her arrest was connected to her alleged involvement in helping Thabo Bester escape from prison and other crimes.

Thabo Bester was convicted of raping and killing a student in 2006. In 2017, he escaped from prison and was on the run for four years. In 2021, he was finally caught at a border post between Mozambique and South Africa.

Before his capture, there were rumors that he may have had help escaping from prison and residing in various countries.

Due to her arrest, Dr Magudumana’s medical license has been suspended, and she has been unable to continue practicing medicine.

The case against Dr Magudumana is ongoing, and it remains to be seen what the court will decide. Nevertheless, the situation highlights the importance of following the law and the consequences that can come from aiding or abetting a criminal suspect.

We must always uphold the law and justice, particularly when it comes to violent crimes such as rape and murder. Dr Nandipha has also abandoned bail while in court.
