Ramaphosa’s Scandal Not Over Yet As Top Advocate Calls For Prosecution

The Phala Phala scandal of president Cyril Ramaphosa is not over yet as advocate Vuyani Ngalwana calls for him to be prosecuted.

The top advocate said there is evidence to show that the ANC leader erred, but he still do not understand why National Prosecuting Authority is still its dragging feet on this matter. He adds that if the NPA fails to prosecute Ramaphosa, then citizens must do it.

“Phala Phala FarmGate must be prosecuted. The prima facie evidence is there. An Independent Panel of Jurists led by a Chief Justice, no less, has shown us the prima facie evidence.

If the National Prosecuting Authority won’t do its job, citizens with a conscience must,” said advocate Vuyani Ngalwana.

Those who do concur with the utterances made by advocate Vuyani Ngalwana said this Phala Phala scandal of president Cyril Ramaphosa must be treated as a matter of urgency. They further argued that the president cannot continue to be on his position as if nothing happened.

“This needs to be explored as a matter of urgency. South Africa cannot go on as if all is well, when the sitting president has serious crimes to answer to. The ANC is such a massive disappointment and they are oblivious to that too,” said a social critic.

Advocate Vuyani Ngalwana is also one of the lawyers dealing with the private prosecution debacle between former president Jacob Zuma and president Cyril Ramaphosa.

It is possible to privately prosecute those in high positions of power. Former president Jacob Zuma is dragging Ramaphosa to court, and many are waiting to see how this will end.

There has been also an outcry from some ANC comrades who feel the step aside guidelines were designed to deal with certain comrades, while when it comes to president Cyril Ramaphosa, the guidelines are not immediately applied.
