The matter of Russia President Vladimir Putin coming to South Africa has become an issue of national interest and many people are commenting about it.
There are different reactions to this matter, with some people saying that the Russian President should be arrested if he comes to our country.
One response that caught public attention is the response from the Western Cape Premier, Allan Winde who vowed to arrest Putin if he sets his foot in the Western Cape. However, his response was met with a lot of criticism from some South Africans.
The Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema also responded to the controversial comments from the Western Cape Premier. Malema said that he wished to see Putin passing by one of the destinations in the Western Cape.
“How I wish President Putin could make a turn at Leeuwenhof, Gardens, Cape Town. I just want to see something.” The Economic Freedom Fighters leader said.
What South Africans should be worried about at this moment is the consequences of getting the Russian President arrested or letting him walk free in our country. What will South Africa benefit from arresting Putin who his country is making business with our country?
