At the EFF’s nationwide shutdown, Carl Niehaus joined Malema, igniting laughter as South Africans made fun of the unexpected coalition.
Carl Niehaus, who led the African Radical Economic Transformation Alliance (ARETA), teamed up with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) during the government shutdown.
At Church Square in Pretoria, where supporters of the red berets gathered to take part in the scheduled national shutdown, he is met by EFF members in the photo above.
Niehaus announced on social media that he will be joining “fellow comrades of the EFF” in calling for the resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Hhhh. Strange bedfellows! @niehaus_carl. @Julius_S_Malema pic.twitter.com/1Y0Bv4fvX1

He said: “We will march to the Union Buildings to demand that Ramaphosa must go.
“He must walk straight down the road to Kgosi Mampuru prison where the Phala Phala criminal belongs.”
Niehaus also shared several photos from the protest throughout the day, posing with both ARETA and EFF members.
This caused a stir on social media that even Tito Mboweni had to comment on this alliance but some claim Tito should mind his business.
