From 2009 to 2018, Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma was the president of South Africa. His name has been linked to corruption many times, along with that of Julius Malema, who was the leader of the ANC youth group at the time and is now the head of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
During his time as president, Zuma would get confused when counting numbers, which made South Africans laugh. Zuma is known for being a polygamist who married six times. He also had extramarital affairs and other relationships that were so close to becoming marriages.
Kate Mantsho Zuma was the only one of Jacob Zuma’s official wives who gave him many children. Unfortunately, she killed herself before she could raise them to be adults.
In 1956, Kate Mantsho was born in Mozambique. She got married to Zuma in 1976, and she had their first child in 1980. They have had four more children since then, for a total of five. Mxolisi, Phumzile, Vusi, and Duduzane and Duduzile Zuma are their names.
All of Zuma’s other official wives have had four or fewer children with him. This does not include children born to Zuma’s mistresses who were never married to him.
On December 8, 2000, Kate Mantsho, Duduzane’s mother, killed herself and left a note. She died before her kids got old enough to live on their own. Duduzane, who was 16 at the time, says it was a traumatic event. “This is something that still feels like it happened yesterday,” he said. Reverend Frank Chikane is one of the people who read Kate Mantsho’s suicide note.
Vusi Nhlakanipho Zuma, Mantsho’s last child with Zuma, died in July 2018 at the age of 25. He was eight years old when his mother killed herself. People didn’t know him because he chose to stay out of the public eye when it came to his family.
