The South African Police Service (SAPS) members are currently investigating a case of hijacking after a police van was hijacked by criminals, anyone with information that could assist in the investigation should contact the saps phone number or report at the nearest police station.
According to the Make South Africa safe news report, a group of suspect hijacked a South African Police Service (SAPS) van at gunpoint and they fled the scene towards an unknown direction, an investigation aimed recovering the vehicle and finding the suspect was immediately launched.
Earlier this morning, Sunday, 22 January 2023 the stolen vehicle was found abalone in Winterveldt, north of Pretoria (Gauteng Province) and surprisingly the vehicle was in its normal condition and the key was left in the ignition switch. No suspect has been arrested.
An investigation aimed at finding the suspects who hijacked the vehicle is ongoing.
