Khanyi Mbau took to social media stories to have her say about the raising of more people who are becoming traditional doctors, popularly known as Sangomas. According to The Wife star, TV show, “You don’t have a calling, you have anxiety,” and that is something that would surprise a lot of people. Some people became traditional doctors years ago would find it hard to take the comment.

From her position, they need money, and to have it means you should be going to work. Some people may think that she is speaking from a position of privilege and does not go through what they are feeling. When you have never been broke or struggled in your life, you do not know how it feels to go to sleep without food and to have no plan for the next day to get food. You will see how it goes as the day progresses.

As for many people becoming traditional doctors, it has been a question since before Mbau made the comments on social media. From how it has been happening, one gender is the most affected, which are females. Some of them are famous individuals. A lot can happen when you are going through something that is not good or not feeling better. You would do something to make yourself better, and for some people, it could be music, or for others, they will start cooking.

As for Khanyi, she does not know for sure about what someone who has become a sangoma will go through in their personal space. From how they have spoken, it comes in many different ways and when you are not expecting it. Some had to leave work to complete the process of becoming a traditional doctor. She does not have the exact experience about what happens; it remains her opinion.

The reason why it may seem like more people are becoming traditional doctors is because of the media. They are available in the media, and from the past, it has not been happening like that, so they would have not been known and the number of people becoming sangomas. It would be great for those who can’t understand why someone would become a traditional doctor, to understand from someone who is a traditional doctor. But it is not their concern because they don’t have to go through that process.
