Bujy Bikwa is accused of assaulting Boity at Courtyard Hotel in Midrand on Thursday evening.
Bujy allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol at Boity which cut her face during an argument and she had to be hospitalized as a result.
It is said Boity opened a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm at the Midrand police station. Bujy was arrested shortly afterwards and spent the night in the police cells.
INSIDE BOITY AND BUJY’S FIGHT
Here’s what happened: According to City Press, Boity and Bujy had gotten into somewhat of a quarrel at the Courtyard Hotel opposite the Mall of Africa in Midrand. Things soon turned physical and Bikwa hurled a bottle of alcohol at the media personally, which left her with some cuts on her face.
“They were drinking and talking about sangomas and ancestors before an argument started. I am not sure who started it but they were screaming at each other and swearing before they started fighting,” an eyewitness is quoted as having said by the news outlet.
Boity reportedly did not take the attack lying down and opened a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm against Bikwa, at the Midrand police station. He was subsequently arrested and spent the night in a jail cell. According to an eyewitness, Boity was not a pretty sight at all after this – her white shirt was soaked in blood after the fight.
“Bujy really beat that girl up badly … Boity was wearing a white shirt and her shirt was red with blood stains. Her face was also bad,” they were quoted as having said.
