The two hit makers have parted ways after boohle alleged that Cassper Nyovest came out of nowhere and made the song his.
The controversial Podcast with MacG is at it again, this time it may have reduced boohle’s chances of becoming the biggest artist. Boohle is behind the Siyathanda vocals which is making waves in and outside the country. In the interview with MacG Boohle was asked who wrote the song and she said it’s hers and Cassper just came with his verse out of nowhere without her knowledge. MacG went on to say Cassper’s verse was unnecessary and it should’ve been titled “Boohle ft Cassper Nyovest” and not the other way around.
Cassper responded by expressing his disappointment from Boohle. He believes she should not have answered this was and he continued to wish Boohle well on her career. So basically he distanced himself from Boohle. This may be not good for the young lady as a new artist and she may have limited her opportunities to be featured by big artists. Cassper Nyovest has been getting gigs abroad and this would have been an opportunity for her to grow abroad but this isn’t happening, at least not through Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper has previously shared that he wrote the melody and his verse, while Boohle wrote the words to the rest of the song. However, in the viral video clip, tweeps felt that Boohle has insinuated that Cassper’s role meant nothing in the song.
MacG added fuel to the fire by suggesting that Cassper’s verse in the song was “unnecessary”.
Upon seeing the clip, Cassper took to Twitter on Thursday saying he was unimpressed with the comments made on the show. He added that he was not willing to give any explanation but rather wished Boohle the best with her career.
“This is so disappointing and I’ve watched it a few times. I won’t even explain anything about how this song was written but I got sooo much love for Boohle man. One of the most gentle of souls I’ve met and we made magic together. May God bless her, May she make many more hits,” he wrote.
