Willard Katsande could be set for a move from Kaizer Chiefs to Mamelodi Sundowns if an agreement is reached over his transfer.

With talk of interest in Willard Katsande from Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs may have to make a decision on how hard they want to fight in order to keep their club legend around.

Katsande played a vital role in all of the Amakhosi’s recent successes prior to their current drought and has played fewer league games in DSTV Premiership campaigns.

The 35-year-old was a regular under both Ernest and has lost Ernst Middendorp his place in the side following the arrival of Gavin Hunt.

As reported in this week’s issue of iReport SA News, the crew has been informed that Mamelodi Sundowns has shown an interest in potentially signing the Zimbabwean international with the January transfer window now on the horizon.

With his current deal running until 2021 June – plus there’s a one-year option – Chiefs would be within their rights to drive a hard bargain if the Masandawana did come knocking.

Katsande has written his name into the club’s history books with his performances during the two Absa Premiership title-winning seasons.

Do you think that Chiefs should let their midfield hardman leave if Mamelodi Sundowns offer materialises? Or is he too important to the club?
