Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to make it four wins in four matches in the DStv Premiership when they visit Steve Barker’s Stellenbosch FC this evening.

Gavin Hunt’s Kaizer Chiefs have hit form at a critical part in their campaign and they’ll look to continue with their upward slope this evening. The Amakhosi could potentially climb into the top four with a solid performance against Stellenbosch.

Stellenbosch on the other hand have been rather inconsistent. Their promising start to the season came to an abrupt halt with the Western Cape side winning just once in their last six fixtures.

GAVIN HUNT WARY OF ‘FANTASTIC’ STELLIES
“From top to bottom, Stellenbosch are a fantastic football club. They have come into the PSL and have managed to do well. Steve Barker has done a tremendous job there.” Gavin Hunt told the Kaizer Chiefs media team.

“They have moved to a new stadium, I played there a long time ago. The question is obviously the heat because we are kicking off at 17:00 in the afternoon. Even at that time of the day, it is like playing at 14:00 in the afternoon elsewhere.

“We are just looking forward to the next game because the time between games is so short and tight. It’s another away game which required a bit of travelling again.

“But overall, there is still a long way to go for Kaizer Chiefs before the end of the season, and players prefer to play. I was a player and I know the feeling – I don’t see any problem with it because these are young boys.”
