Themba Ndaba is one of South Africa most celebrated actors and plays Uncle Brutus on 1Magic Mzansi hit telenovela The Queen. The seasoned actor is best known for his AMAA and SAFTA award-winning performance in the Hopeville Limited Series and Movie as well as his casting in the movie Machine Gun Preacher (2011). Ndaba trusted into the limelight when he starred in Soul City and Hopeville.

Early LIfe

Ndaba was born in Soweto, Johannesburg on the 14th of February 1965. The 55-year-old actor grew up in the Kingdom of Swaziland where his Anglican missionary parents (Reverend TJ Ndaba) were forced to relocate their family, during the armed struggle in Apartheid South Africa.



Education

The seasoned actor got enrolled for primary education in 1970. In 1982 Ndaba graduated from St Mark’s High School back in Mbabane Swaziland were he did his high school. Surprisingly the international award-winning star attended Harare Polytechnic. Ndaba pursued a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies with a distinction in economics and statistics. The Queen star actor also holds a Theology Diploma in Leadership and Life Training (Cum laude) with Unisa.

Family And Love Life



Ndaba was once married to star actress Sophie Ndaba now Lichaba for 13-years. They got divorced in 2007. Themba Ndaba is now married to Sebolelo (Josey) Ndaba, and the couple has two children. Ndaba two kids are Sibusiso and Lwandle Ndaba. He currently lives with his family in Midvaal, South Africa.

Career And Scandals

While many may know him as Brutus from ‘The Queen’, his career began much earlier. The celebrated star well-known for having been a part of popular shows on SABC 1 and SABC 2. He is famous for having participated in Soul City and Generations. Ndaba thrust into the limelight was when he landed an acting role in Soul City and later at Hopeville.



The seasoned actor was nominated as the Outstanding Actor in the Drama category at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in 2009. Uncle Brutus went on to win the SAFTA Award for the category of Best Actor in Film for Hopeville as well as his win on AMAA (African Movie Academy Award) for the same category and movie.
