The Premier Soccer League held an Executive Committee meeting today regarding the future of the 2019/20 season, and a press conference has now been called for 14h30.
It was confirmed by the PSL last night that the football body would be hosting an emergency EXCO today after President Cyril Ramaphosa confirmed that all gatherings of over 100 people are prohibited after a ‘State of Disaster’ was declared regarding the Coronavirus outbreak.
Live Update:
Premier Soccer League chairperson Irvin Khoza has confirmed the suspension of all midweek and weekend matches in all competitions with immediate effect due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in South Africa.
All other matters will be addressed in another briefing on Thursday, Khoza said.
Khoza added that while games are suspended, teams could continue training.
