NORTHERN CAPE – On Tuesday, 24 December 2019 at about 12:25 during the day, a 30-year-old was arrested by members from Kuruman Explosives Unit and Kuruman Human Resource Development.
The two officers were busy performing their safer festive season operation in Kuruman town when they stopped a VW Golf car and requested a driver’s license.
Instead of giving them his driver’s license, the driver asked the officers whether they have something for Christmas and promised to buy a present for them. He then tried to give the two officials a 750 ml bottle of Inverroche Gin Amber wine and R200-00.
The two then arrested the suspect for bribery. The suspect will appear before Kuruman magistrate court on Friday, 27 December 2019 for bribery.
Major General Johan Bean the cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe applauded the two Constables for being loyal, honest and trustworthy while performing their duties.
