Thato Moeng, the woman whose name is synonymous with radio sports presenting, has a dream of owning a football club one day.
The 32-year-old from Pretoria North is one of the first few women who dived into the sporting world when fewer women could, and still believes that a lot more still needs to be done in encouraging female participation in the industry.
“Saturday, on my way back to home from work – this guys pulled up in front of my car and told me to get out of the car.
Put me in the car boot, drove around like 5 hours, beat me up.” – She said
“About 10 guys, I was taken from 1 car to another until they drop me in the middle of no where around centurion. I am glad that I’m still alive, they wanted to kill me. They didn’t know who am I, when they took me until they saw my Supersport access card and thats where they realise this person is famouse and it gonna bring to much attantion” – Thato
They keept saying “let us kill her, let us kill her“
Today I thank God for life a life that was so easily nearly taken away. Thank you God for giving me another chance
